Professional Experience

An Albuquerque native, Jared West brings a wealth of litigation experience and a strong commitment to client advocacy to Riley | Keller | Gonzales. After successful tenures at top litigation firms in Colorado, Jared returned to New Mexico to focus his practice on construction defect litigation, medical malpractice defense, and general liability matters. Before joining Riley | Keller | Gonzales, Jared practiced at other leading firms, where he handled complex civil litigation, including construction, premises liability, and product liability cases. He has defended product manufacturers, recreational businesses, and licensed professionals in high-stakes litigation across state and federal courts.

Jared’s legal acumen has earned him recognition from Super Lawyers Rising Stars, and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, as well as multiple Top Attorney honors in Business Commercial Litigation, Civil Litigation, and Contract Law. In 2024, he was selected for the prestigious Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (COBALT) program. Jared mentors law students and has served as a resume reviewer for the Colorado Bar Association. His pro bono work has been recognized by the Nebraska Supreme Court. Outside the office Jared enjoys running, attending metal concerts, and spending time with his family.
