D. Chet Alderete

Mr. Alderete is a shareholder and director, and leads the firm’s medical malpractice group. Mr. Alderete defends clients in matters involving medical malpractice, industrial and oilfield accidents, commercial automobile accidents, and other complex litigation.  These matters often involve fatalities, catastrophic injuries, and large damage claims.  Mr. Alderete subscribes to a defense philosophy that emphasizes an aggressive defense for all clients and active trial preparation.  This includes the pursuit of in-depth discovery, jury research, and strategies to counter established and emerging trial tactics employed by the plaintiff’s bar.  Rigorous trial preparation, effective client communication, and creative litigation strategies are hallmarks of Mr. Alderete’s practice.
